2011 ranger *rant*

I'll take some of what your smoking please. How about double the wheel travel of any TRD truck, perfected valving and no shock fade all courtesy of fox shocks, first production truck to run them. Maybe to you its just a fancy body, go buy a tundra :icon_rofl:

I wouldn't buy a Tundra either. Frankly, if I want a real off-road truck, I'd build one. Since it CAN'T be bought no matter what fancy names Ford uses.

As far as "perfected"? Anyone that has EVER ran a desert truck can tell you there is no such thing. Do some reading on suspension setup for Baja.

Oh God, this is great!

So much information at my fingertips!:icon_rofl:

Seasonal roads around Warren and a few "trails" in the Allegheny state forest. I put trails in quotes because they are wide, but other than that not very road like. I didn't go through any mud for obvious reasons but it also isn't marketed as a mud truck.

That's the thing, the Raptor is a factory-built desert truck, which is fine, but the mods and all don't mean much for the wheeling we do in the Northeast and the size would be a disadvantage. I don't know anyone who would be bouncing their new $50,000 Raptor off of trees in the woods.

I know I am beating a dead horse here, but on last nights episode of Ice Road Truckers the road crew was driving a raptor.

I questioned why they would need one, but got to thinking it would probably be great to have that kind of truck with the rough roads up there.

They also had a 2011 Superduty... they were not released for sale until late last spring, so they must be the Ford test trucks lent to the oil fields mentioned on Fords website when they launched it. :D
