There is one just down the street from my girlfriends house, it is friggin amazing. I wanna do horrible things to it's tailpipe.

lol, the only thing that sucks imo is the sound isnt aggresive enough, needs some flowmasters or sumthing like that

I like the side styling but not the front or rear, same goes for the Challenger. They both seem to be missing the styling mark us old guys like. Both are over weight, over priced for what you get. Kind of like what I have now.

I hope it turns out to be better than what I have come to expect from the big 3. It's a good looking car, but can it handle a road course? Can it drive nice on the street later the same day? Will the brakes, brake? Or will they break. Will the suspension be setup properly, or will it be underdamped and over sprung?

Chevy has the Vette, that's the only good all-around car they have ever made. Let's see if they can get it right twice. Even a broken clock can.

I'm completely unimpressed with the vette, it's just a name.

I saw one of the first Camaro shipments in the U.S...... I happened to be in Texas buying a truck when the dealership got them.

My dealer was like, it still has plastic on the seats, and paper taped to quarters, wann touch it?

I jumped out of my truck and was like, hells yeah!!! I thought they had a good exhaust tone, deep and rumbly, just too quiet.
I noticed on the red-whateva car, (there was a black, redish orange) that the front bumper color did not quite match the rest of the vehicle.

They are sharp, but still lacking when you get right up to them and check the fit and finish.
(better than a Ranger, but for the money!!! come on)

Frank

btw: I am a Camaro fan, and Hot-Rod Mag, had a hella parts list to make the Camaro hang with vettes, and vipers, all on the market now.

That's odd. It's the best all-around American "sports" car according to many reviews over the years. Even though it's more of a touring car.

If the Vette is just a name, why do you need a huge list of parts to make a Camaro hang with the Vette? LOL

You don't. There just happens to be a huge list of things that will make it hang with and exceed the Vettes. The only Vettes I'm impressed with nowadays are the Z06 and Z-R1s. I am however impressed with BOTH the V6 and V8 Camaros...I mean hell, the new V6 Camaro beats out the old Z-28s in ALL aspects (well... aside from looks and sound)

Here's a V6er I saw in Albany...

i hate the back end of them. they look cool from other views but they just seem so heavy. i dont know how these perform but if its like the challenger, im not expecting much. at least they didnt totally destroy the camaro name like they did the charger. and i still dont get what all they hype is over the V6 ones. i dont like the fact that they even offered a v6. i just hope they dont turn into chick cars cause ive seen a few driving around and only one guy driving it.

The V-6 cars are crap. So what if they can outrun the old Z-28's, so did my 98 Jeep Cherokee. Those old z's didn't have anything under the hood.

I would love to run you in my Z-28, or let you run my step-dads 69.... it's only got a teeny 327.

As to the vette, I just think it's crap. a car that you couldn't stick 2 bags of groceries in if you had too..... but it's fast? not how it's supposed to work. If I'm paying that much I want a 2 seater with "real" jump seats and a trunk I can use.

If your z-28 is anything from 1973or so up to 1992, and it can actually move, it's FAR from stock.

I was actually talking about the '69 Z-28s. They make similar HP and the new ones get a thing called handling and traction. Not bashin the old ones but with new technology comes new benefits.
