2010 Camaro

I was actually talking about the '69 Z-28s. They make similar HP and the new ones get a thing called handling and traction. Not bashin the old ones but with new technology comes new benefits.

Ben
I'll believe the handling thing when I see it. GM has never offered good handling and road manners out of any car, except one.

I doubt it will handle like a Porsche but it is supposed to handle extremely well. And that's not coming from GM, read some of the test drives where they compare the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang. Camaro usually gets really good reviews.

I hope they put it up against some real competition. A BMW 3 series vs a v-8 Camaro maybe. Mix in a Mercedes C-class for good measure. Keep them at or near the same price.

I would like to see an American car maker bring a sports car to market that doesn't weigh 4k lbs and needs 400hp to be competitive... Other than that I really like to new Camaro... I wouldn't spend my money on one though... When they come out with a sports car that is less than 3k lbs and and has an all aluminum turbo v6 or something that makes about 300 hp I might buy it... Something you can take to the track without having to strip it down for it to turn effectively...

During the car and driver test the SS camaro Pulled .90g on the skid pad, the lighter 2010 stang pulled .95g, Id say thats not half bad for handling. Wait till Pedders gets all their suspension kits done. the G8 top pedders kit pulls 1.18g's on the skidpad not to shabby for a 4 door sedan. Since the camaro is built on the veta chassis also and is smaller it should do just fine.

I dont get how people can say the car is over priced. 30k will get you a SS1 426hp and 420ftlbs. I dont know of another car that can get you that for around 30k.

Skid pad scores are only a piece of the story. You need a suspension that allows you to keep that type of grip over surfaces that aren't ideal. You need a suspension that is tight yet compliant to make the car drivable.

That 30k is the starting price. Find one on the lot with no options for me ok. If you can I'll buy it and I have the cash to do so. For the money, I will buy a BMW 328i that doesn't need all that horsepower, since it doesn't have to come to a stop everytime the roads get bumpy and/or twisty. Or better yet, I'd love to go find a nice used M3 for the same price, that will retain value better and completely destroy all but the best GM car. That would be the Corvette, which would still lose, it just wouldn't be complete destruction.

Here we go. Oh yeah it's used. It won't depreciate as fast. It will likely run just as long, but man oh man!! Would it be sooo much more fun.

beautiful car its just too bulky like the challenger the 2010 mustang is NICE!

yeah there beautiful there not so bulky like the camaro or challenger the only i really dont like is the mustang steering wheel

Performance wise I think the Vette would roast the Mustang. But DAMN!! That Mustang is heads, shoulders, cock and ass above the Camaro. Even car and driver liked the Mustang better, despite the camaro hype. They know cars well enough to see beyond the stupid horsepower figures. The Mustang is a much better all around car than the Camaro. Has been for decades or production years.

most people though only judge a car by how much power it has. they dont even think about handling or power to weight ratio or anything else. i still think the new mustang looks way better than the camaro

I think it's a beautiful car, but way too bulky. I can't help but wonder if they would have designed the grille like that if the Mustang wasn't so successful with it....
