2008 Ford F-150 4.6 liter engine....

I am looking to trade my Ranger in on a 2008 F150 with the 4.6 v8 gas engine. Did that model year have spark plug issues or am I ok??

My 4.0 V6 engine in my Ranger has been very good with 238000 miles on it!

I just need a bigger truck.

Any guidance appreciated.

Yes that year and engine had the spark plug issue.

Looks like a 4.6l F-150 built before Nov.30th 2007 are included in this, but............

My buddy has a 2007 with the bad plugs, he was just telling me the other day Ford has a fix for it, but there was something about having to remove the cab to access the plugs since the motor sits so far back. He might have been pulling my leg, but that sounds awful if true.
