Curb? What curb, I felt a speedbump
I was talking to my mechanic friend the other day about doing a suspension lift on my ranger and he said just to get the shocks out of an F 150 has anyone here ever done that and how well does it work compared to aftermarket suspension kits? Also if I do that should I get a small body lift like 2 inches?

After doing a better job seeking information I have come across articles that say the front drive shaft wears out in about 20,000 miles after you lift the truck, what should I do about that?

You cant use springs from an f150 unless your using the leafs for the rear. But the front has no springs it uses torsion bars to lift/lower the front. Only way to lift the front is a suspension lift kit or a solid axle swap. Or a body lift. If you crank the torsion bar all the way up you can clear 33s with minor rubbage on the sway bar. I had aftermarket wheels that were for a jeep cherokee that were 10in wide with 12.5in wide 33in tall with no rubbing. It will ride a lil stiff but it will still flex like crazy
