2001 3.0 smoke test, any pointers?

I will try that.

I did run another smoke test and had a lot of smoke coming from the charcoal canister. Dropped the spare and the canister and the new vapor canister vent solenoid was leaking profusely. I had the old one, installed it and no leak. So I took it apart, sealed it with some silicone and did another smoke test, no leak. But interestingly, when I did the smoke test, it built a ton of pressure in the gas tank, I saw some gas vapors residue by the gas cap, removed the cap and a huge woosh of pressurized air came out. I assume thats a good thing?

I can't see how that happened unless the smoke tester pressurizes the intake somehow...

There was a slight amount of smoke coming from the top of the gas tank, but I assumed it was a pressure vent valve. I may just have to remove the bed and get a closer look at the fuel tank itself. That will mean grinding off some seized bed bolts.....

I used the hose from the purge valve going back to the gas tank.
