Hello there, i drive 01 ranger edge 3.0. Since i bought the truck it has taken at least 4-5 seconds of cranking before it starts. Did a fuel pressure test and KOEO the gauge just blipped but once you getter runnin...60 psi!! Dang check valve..... ordered the bosch kit off rockauto, the one with just the pump couple o-rings, rubber sleeve for the pump, wiring adapter, and a small piece of rubber hose with 2 clamps.

Now i am halfway through doing the job, pump is out and just about back together except i dont seem to need the little rubber hose because there is a longer clear line that runs from pump to the top of the unit and had a crimp clamp attaching it to the old pump. So wiring adapter works, putting a hose clamp back in place of the old crimp clamp...anyone done this before with this kit? My pump assembly says ford on it so its probably original.

I live in small town and couldnt get a hose clamp as it was 730 pm when i got to that point. Now here i am wondering if its all gonna work out alright.

Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.
