Anyone had one? The local dealer has one in his lot and I've got my eye on it. It's the same color as my Ranger. :headbang:

Looks just like this one.

If you know anything about them throw up some reviews/experiences.

u just dont get it....
crappy pos i must say, dunno whats wrogn but they tend to rust very bad, seems like mitsu didnt had enough cash to bet a better rust treatment on them.
thirsty engines and dont delivers the powa its supposed

the 2000+ Eclipses are trash. Weak, inefficient motor. Heavy. Ugly. unreliable.

The Pre-2000 eclipses are pretty unreliable but at least they had performance potential.

boy cott mitsu they built the zeros that killed out boys in Pearl Harbor!! I wouldn't personally own any mitsu dodge chrysler vehicle period......

I had a '90 Eclipse and I loved it. Kind of funny it was flying under Plymouth colors... and Chrysler made Sherman tanks among other things during the war, and I think that was before they where bought out by the famed Nazi engine maker Diamler-Benz. Going by those lines the water quickly get muddy about who to support. I have seen pictures of B-17's bombing Colone Germany... home of the 2.8, 2.9 and both 4.0's. Mitsubishi also made transmissions for the Ranger.

Had 170k on the Eclipse/Laser, ran great. Only electrical problem with it was the cruise didn't work... but it doesn't work on the parents '94 Explorer with the same miles either.

Oh, trust me I know it gets muddy quick. But personally and professionally, I see more oil leaks, driveability probs, and computer probs with any dodge, chrysler, jeep, mitsubishi product than any other.

Had a 2.4 eclipse that looks just like that one. Ran good and very peppy. no problems what so ever

Here's how I know if something is dependable. I count how many of that vehicle I see on the road that's about 10 yrs old....If I don't see many, or a lot depends on wether or not i'll buy one. Look at how many older eclipses there are.... on the other hand look at how many older mitsu's there are on the road...... not a lot.

Back when I had mine there were a bunch of them on the roads, both first and second generation. There were 4 first generation Eclipse/Talon/Laser cars in my high school parking lot my senior year in 2002-2003 when I got mine... A FWD 1.8 Eclipse, FWD 1.8 Talon, AWD 2.0 Talon, and my FWD 2.0T Laser and they were all 90-92's. There was also a built to the hilt second generation Eclipse too. My senior class was about 80 so there wasn't a ton of cars in the lots anyway, probably about 300 kids that were 16+ and not everybody had a car. Four of anything was pretty popular, especially being a import.

About that time they go from fun to cheap disposable fun, after I sold mine 2 years after I was out of high school it wasn't junked because it kept blowing up, it ended up junked because the tard I sold it to rear ended a truck with it.

I don't see near as many Camaros and Foxbody Mustangs as I used to either. It is the same thing, with a sporty car as their value drops people care less and less how they treat them because for a couple hundred bucks they can just get another one to beat until it drops too... or they get turned into a trailer queen racecar.
