Hi everyone! I am new to engine swapping bigger vehicles. (I am used to bikes more so, but I know trucks enough to get me by).

Has anyone else done the 2000+ swap? With full EFi, AC, and gauges working?
YouTube videos, eBay/Purchase links will all be helpful. Along with any Advice from the 5.0 swap Veterans.

I have the entire Explorer. I bought it running and driving. $500. Transmission was starting to slip (leaking out of the tranny pan. Ended up buying the rebuild kit and a new converter for it to rebuild it, then sell for a M5ORD-R2 out of an F-150)

So I have all the wiring and pieces I need. I know the computer will need to be tuned, I have a guy picked out to tune PATs out, along with all the fancy power windows and locks. To make it work for my truck.
I have both factory service manuals, along with every wiring diagram book Ford made for the two vehicles.

ANY ADVICE IS WELCOME!
Thanks!!

Gauges and evap system are issues. The newer gauges expect can-bus data rather than analog signals and evap system solenoid coils trigger a CEL on the earlier PCM.
