2.9 wiring harness

I have an 88 2.9 ranger need a new wiring harness im having trouble finding one! I found one but it says its a 2.9 wiring harness but for 89-92 will tht one fit my 88? Dont wanna buy it and it not fit!!

The 89+ harness has a very different connection where it hooks to the dash. Won't match up.

Oh okay thank u very much! You just saved me 150 bucks!! So it has to be an 88 2.9 wiri harness?

An 88 will be the best fit. An 86 or 87 will work in a pinch, but they will have plugs for some items that were deleted in 88 like EGR and knock sensor, which isn't a big deal, but a few minor plugs to the body harness do not match up correctly. The wires are the same, but the hardshells are different.
