2.9 no spark


ok so i tryed the coil thing that you said kimcrwbr1 and im getting a little spark not every time its not a blue spark so does that mean i might need a coil
 
ok so i checked the codes on my truck and got tps, map sensors and mlp-park/neutral cucuit but im getting spark from the coil its not really strong spark but my battery is low so i think thats y is not strong. like ive said b4 i changed the status and had the tfi checked for the distributor but im thinking the dizzy is still my problem what do yall think
 
Hmm...it could be the distributor or a wiring issue. If you really want to try a distributor, A user on here, pwrranger88, is selling a dizzy for a 2.9 liter if you want to try one. I just bought the TFI off of it so you'd have to put yours on it to try it on your truck.

Its cheap and better than buying new ya know?

alright so im just goin to change everything im taking out my wire harness computer distributer and most of the sensors and replacing them with others i got from a guy on this site im goin to post some pics as i do this just because and probably port my intake just for the hell of it wish me luck lol cuz if this dont work i may burn it to the ground lmao :icon_rofl::beer:

remember to unhook the battery i took it out and also took the air boox out for more room

now just unplug everything and pull it all to the passinger side

unscrew the computer and theres one more ground and pull it them from under the hood try to make sure it doesnt get hooked up on anything

i took the intake manifold off it makes it easyer to get to the fuel injectors plus im goin to port it as good as i can

What a mess...wiring is a PITA isnt it? My truck looks like spaghetti and of course, the previous owner did a nice hackjob on it.....
 
ya im goin to try to make it look a lot better when i put in the new one or new to me neways lol
 
ok so i finally found my problem it took months but it was the wire harness its self somrone made a half ass repare in the wire from the distributor to the coil and it broke so i fixed everything on it just to find out it was 1 wire but thanks everyone for the help
 
so like i sead shes running but not right yet ive got a fissfire im goin to try a few thing tomorrow but heres some pics

this is the wire that wouldnt let my truck run its the wire from the ignition moduel to the coil some idiot before me tryed to fix it i guess thats wat his is anyways but it came apart i replaced the whole wire

i also cleaned up the wire harness so it dont look like a rat nest any more it looks real clean now
 
check this

look into the module. then the rotor botton.. the timing. my truck just went in for that same problem that is what they fixed and she runs great..
