2.9 engine miss?

yea thats where a reverse drill works it is probably loose in there sorry about the pull the engine thing I had too

I was looking at the other block in my garage and it looks like there was only that one spot for it. Maybe mount it in the cab and tap on it every time I accelerate????

reverse drill bits available at the parts stores? or are those basically the same thing as the easy outs?

not sure on parts stores but any hardware store has them . I suppose you could hire a mexican shove him under the hood with a stethascope and when it pings he could tap on it for you

I'll make sure I don't tell my Mexican wife that. oops. already did! she's laaaaauuuuughing!

I`m sorry was it the sensor that broke mine had a adaptor with a different thread than the sensor about a inch long between the block and the sensor sorry

she says they won't fit and we should try a Chinese guy instead. They are better in factory environments.

No adapter. just a round sensor with a threaded stud holding it on to the block. The stud is filled with a brass(?) core and surrounded with what seems to be plastic.

ok. heading out. Hopefully next time I am here the problem will be solved.

ok. There is a place in the block to screw another one in. Straight up from the original spot. Of course none of the auto parts store had a sensor in stock. Went to the junkyard and got one off of a ranger (and they only had ONE).
Brought it home screwed it into the block, put the starter on and warmed the truck up. Tested codes. 25. again.
We know the wire is good because the sensor I broke was doing it's thing. SOOOOOO.....I either picked up a bad O2 at the Junkyard OR you can't screw the sensor in anywhere BUT its designated spot OR there is a different problem.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................
