yea you can ground it and see if the light comes on it is just a ground switch and if you reset the codes my guess it wont show a code 23 but then if it is working and you still get the code dont worry if it runs good is what the book says
I'll just take it out for a test drive here in a little bit. If it drives better, then we will know the deal. If it is the same, then I go from there...pull out the sensor so I can tap it and see the motor response.
back from a short drive. There is a definite driving difference for the better. The low end lack of power seems to be gone. It is still not 100%. It feels like it is "lurching" particularly in 2nd and 3rd gears. Still have that random "miss." Got it to miss at 2800 rpms in 2nd and 3rd while going up a steep hill. I did not get a chance to test the freeway speeds. I have not retested codes.
But definitely better. slowly but surely it's getting dialed in.
It couldn`t hurt to clear the memory both hard and on demand it sounds like the knock sensor is working correct now what you need to do is take it for a good drive and let the computer set new values so unplug the batt for 20 min double triple check all connections electric and vacuum throttle body bolts give a good eye then take if on a good drive at all speeds. It will probably not do that well at first but by erasing all the old values the computer has to set new ones then when you get back run the KOER test when it is still good and hot and see how it does. The book says 15 min at least to set the new values.
