Been chasing this problem with my truck bogging out at random times. I figured out its leaning out for some reason... pulled the codes got a miss fire code which expected but the one i cant find online is code #95? and one know more about what this code is... The scanner said "fuel pump open ECA to ground" anone know what this is???
Thanks

hmm...I'm really not sure but try googling the phrase. I was thinking that perhaps it's one of the many ground straps or ground wire in the harness. Sounds like a pain but it's the only way...

The ones that come to mind, would be the ground on the back of the head on the driver side, the computer ground (doubt this one) and the ground that goes from the battery to the front of the engine block.

I 'm thinking your ECU we'll call ECA ,same thing is not seeing a voltage drop when fuel pump turns on and is reporting an open ground. Could be you have a loose ground wire causing the fuel pump to quit running and causing your bogg. Typically bad or loose grounds will have you chasing your tail.

You are now the third person (sorry fourth) that has had a problem very close to Duggan, Me (a31ford) and another guy(can't remember his name).

Engine boggs about 2500, gutless wonder, won't climb a hill, etc, etc, etc, It'a a random thing, sometimes pushing the clutch in and reving it fixes the problem, but only for a bit.

The following fixed 3 for 3 people... tank sock (on the fuel pump tube IN the fuel tank). AND, replacing the TPS sensor (on the side of the air horn, and throttle).

You will note that a short lived fix, is to "code it", and clear the codes" (KOER, and clear) restart and drive, problem is gone for about 10 minutes or so.

The TPS is the main culprit (IMO), and the sock causes the "motorboating" that is in the power loss.

As for the Code..... (see below)

Check the wiring harness on the DR inner fender (the group of 3 connectors, find the one that goes to the tank, look at the ground connection (big wire in connector) IMSC it's a white wire, BUT not sure.
