2.8 liter TBI swap

The JY doesnt have adjustable track bars, got that off a Jeep Cherokee for $20.

Next things I need to get are new brakes for it, brake lines (figure out that when it does get put under my truck), diff oil,

One thing I have been wondering that would be cool is it somehow put an LED light in my front diff, due to having a clear diff cover, so that at night it lights up, its just a thought.

Might paint the steering linkage yellow, just for good looks.

Your track bar mount is different than mine.

I noticed that my mount is different when i went take it off the jeep from the jy. The one i got from the jy is the same as yours. need to find out what kind of D30 i have.

Another good day at the JY, scored this front brush guard for $25 cane off a Gen 2 ranger, one that had TRS sticker all over it, got a discount too due to I go there often and they know me very well. Just need to make and weld some brakets to my front bumper for it and bolt it on. Plan on putting fog lights on it too, has the mounts on it for those but one is bent, nothing a little TLC cant fix.

Hopefully the next time I go I'll return with some 63 inch Chevy leaves.

Did some looking around. I think your D30 is from a Grand Cherokee

Ya from what im finding it has to be of a Grand Cherokee. The next thing need to do is figure out how to mount my steering stablerizer and track bar to it. I also need to get a new stablerizer as the one that came with my steering linkage has a huge dent in it. Still debating on getting long arms, but if i do decide to get them it may be a few months before I get them, thats when I should have the money to order them, Im also debating whether to use the coil springs I have or get some 3.5 EB coils, 5.5 coils seem like a bit to much lift for the tire size Im going for.

Well got the front guard on my truck and man do I love it :headbang: Now I need to decide on a set of fog lights, I'm thinking rectangle ones, to match the head lights shape, but what brand to get I have no clue what a good name would be. As you can see the driverside fog light mount is bent, no biggy there nothing a little bending back cant fix.:icon_welder:

Oh and that red ranger bed you see to the left...thats my dads "new" bed, fixing it up, need to update his build thread on what we are doing to his truck.

Good find for $25. I am never that lucky with the limited yards around here

Well we have 4 around us, the i got my front thing from knows me good and lets me walk around the JY, another kinda knows me,higher priced more organized, another ive been to twice, smaller one, and the last one is a last resort one as you cant go in the yard, they pull the parts and are severly organized.

Well ive decided to do the long arm kit, might get the iron man one you have, ill check into the cost and buy it when i have the money for it and some put back to just incade i have to make a sudden purchase for my SAS

there's only 2 here, and they're way over priced if you can find anything.

Well lastnight after getting of work my truck was running fine in the parking lot, whating for another employee to back out and it just died. So I cranked and cranked and then smelt raw gas, turned the key off looked under it and saw3 raw gas everywhere. I opened the hood and saw my fuel line that comes after my fuel filter had blown off, the clamp came loss. Good thing I had a screw driver in the truck to fix it.

Another thing I need to do is since I'm going to be going with the long arm set-up is how to run the brake lines, I've sen howe they are run along the arm but exactly how is still unknown to me. Also need to find out what type of lift shocks I'm going to need, I'm think maybe 4-6 inch lift ones.

But hopefully todays job is to hook-up my manual oil pressure guage.

Got the oil pressure guage hooked up, 50psi on start-up. Wish the lights in my temp. and oil guages worked but due to them being mounted where the sun hits them all the time, the light sockets rotted out, my tach light is the only one that still works but oh well.

Check out my thread. I add pictures of how I ran the brake lines.

I did and thanks for the pics link you gave me too. Running the brake lines like that looks better and cheaper then getting extended ones.

Only about a month or more before I order the long arms. Have a 4 day motorcycle vacation coming up in July Im saving up for too (ABATE Boogie).
