Im having a no start issue. It don't try to turn over, the starter is not trying either, neither of the fuel pumps are engaging. it was cranking up before it stormed one day. Im not sure what the problem is any of you guys have an idea? Alot of work was done before this. New fuel pumps gas tank timing distributor ignition coil alot of other small things some wiring fixed but not all since it was left in a pastor for some years because of a timing issue. alot wiring is in bad condition. Im going to replace the starter relay and check the grounds but thats all I can think of please help :icon_confused:

If you are getting no power to the ignition system then start with the battery terminals and clean/tighten them...you can also check the battery voltage but unless it is completely dead you would get something when you turn the key.

If you are getting power to some things like the lights then let us know. Your symptoms are much like battery connectivity or loose ground wire some where...but I will let you add some information before explaining thngs down to your navel hair colour without prompting me first...

My cab lights headlights all work. when I turn the key all the way to start it, it dont try to do anything its like it dont have a battery in it and Ive checked the battery it was over 12v and I tried boosting it also, nothing changes.

Could be ignition switch, under the steering column, it is a slider switch operated by the key.

In START position 12volts should come out of the ignition switch and go thru the Clutch Switch(manual trans) or thru the NSS switch(automatic trans) and then go to the fender mounted starter relay, the smaller wire on the "S" terminal.
If your starter relay has 4 terminals, 2 big and 2 small, make sure "S" terminal is connected, the "I" terminal was for the Coil on older models

If the Clutch switch or NSS switch is not closed then starter relay never gets the signal(12v) to turn on starter motor.

Make sure trans is in neutral or Park and key is OFF, and apply 12volts to "S" terminal on relay, if starter cranks engine then relay and starter are ok.
You can just use a short jumper wire from Battery terminal on the starter relay to the "S" terminal

It was the starter solenoid and fuel pump relay. now have a gas line problem near the fuel rail thinking of getting a inline filter cut out the bad piece and rerun the rest of the line for the time being.
