Ok guys heres what I have to work with. I have a 1986 ranger ex-cab perfect body *Zero Rust!* with no engine and a few parts picked off of it. I have a 91 explorer 4 door with a trashed body and transmission. I was wondering if i could rip the body off the explorer swap in a m50d trans,1354 case, and swap in the rangers body and flatbed the back.:stirthepot:

What do you guys think?

Holeshotracer did pretty much the same thing a while back. His present truck is the "explanger". He used a GenII Ranger but the dimensions are the same. He didn't use a box though, It seems the wheel base is a little different. You may P.M. him to see what the problems/difficulties were.

If I were gonna do that I'd probably use a Gen2 supercab body.

I wanted to do something ike that on a Bronco2 frame but sucessfully talked myself out of it when I banged my knee (twice) on the headlight switch in my shortbox std cab ranger shortly before I decided to junk the ranger....
