1st Gen Ranger/BII 4X4 Radiator Question

Anyone use an Explorer V8 radiator in their 1st Gen Ranger/BII 4X4 V8 swap? If so, what problems, issues, modifications, etc. did you experience?

The Explorer 4.0 radiator won't work for me due to clearance issues with the upper radiator hose and Explorer FEAD alternator pulley.

I'm trying to get my a/c going and can't use the V8 swap radiator with a condenser.

If you need just a bit more clearance to the grill you can try changing the grill.

Aftermarket radiators with a lower driver and middle upper are not uncommon, if that would help. Unfortunately without pictures I can not see what the clearance issue is since I am not sure what "Explorer FEAD alternator pulley" is and a quick google brings up nothing.

You need a body lift or the V8 rad will hang out the bottom of the truck.

Body lift also helps the hose vs alternator clearance too.
