1st gen brake slightly sticking.


LOL never had any issue getting them out. First time I did it one of the pins had actually fallen out on it's own.. But definitely a wtf moment when you first replace the brakes on these trucks.
 
ugh its leaking a bit on each side. the calipers came with 2 washers i assumed that the washers went on each side of the brake line bolt but thats where its leaking from
 
that's right.one on each side of the brake hose-then you need to give it a good crank.the washers are copper and need to be crushed a little to seal.
 
i was looking at the old ones and woundering why they were thinner and then it dawned on me so i cranked em good and now its all good. the pedal actually feels better now i cant believe how cheap the calipers are. one caliper on my 83 mercedes is 250$ for one so il defiantly rebuild those ones.
 
I had to crank the sh!t out of those banjo bolts. Was afraid I'd break them off. Once I got 'em tight enough, the leak stopped and never started again. Don't worry.
