Hows every one doing tonight . I have a question maybe one of uz can help me with

I own a 1995 ford ranger 4.0 splash auto tranny
So the tranny has always had hard shiffting and the reverse problem -not always shifing in . ive been driving it like that for 3 years. So last week I went and bought me some real nice new tires. That night the tranny stopped shiffting .. I only have 1st gear. and nothing else. I changed the fluid and it only helped for 30 miles. I do know that shift control silonaid c was bad in the tranny .

somtimes I CAN GET IT TO KICK IN AND SHIFT OK

The question I have is .

A-should I get the bottom end with all the silonades and put them in
b- buy a used tranny - I head they all do the same thing
c- rebuild this one. I Had a tranny shop price me 500 just to fix whats wrong now and 800 to rebuild

d- just give up on it and scrap it . Real nice truck though

Im lucky my uncle just so happened to have 1995 f150 plow truck for sale for 600 bucks . plow and all. THe only thing is the f150 tanks though gas /:icon_confused:
