1994 347/c4 build -project- rebel rouser

Did the tci come with a converter ? I miss the snow after being gone from it for almost 20 yrs . But I can see I'm not missing it working in it . I need to take my kids back home to Michigan . They've never been and seen real snow and winter . Down here we get the 1-2 " randomly every few years that last have a day . Everything shuts down here in central Texas when that happens lol .

You'll get it figured out . But a aod may work out a lil better . But would have to swap a few things which may set you back more [emoji53]

I just wanna go fast [emoji48]

The tci trans did not come with the converter, it was a basic trans only.

Today I called and spoke to the other shop I was referred to. What a difference, this guy says c4? Don't see many of them these days. Asks me about my car n what not and says he'll call me back, has to talk to his parts guy.
So in the meantime I find there are kits out there to build "monster c4's"
Head to some meeting n come back to a voicemail. It's mike, says rebuild is no problem, goes over list of parts and give me price. I called back and spoke to him again, was happy to hear he's willing to mess with it. Asks me some more ish and I go through it with him. Think he's got a good pic of what's going on.
So, price....700, full rebuild, high performance internals and shift kit. Will have it back befor xmas, if not that weekend. Hella yeah! Dropping it this Saturday and bringing it there, hopefully before he closes, if not Monday morning.

Yeah dude, I can swing that a little easier for sure. I guess it's a good thing I'm rolling solo this xmas lol. My truck is my new gf lol. It'll need a gift, think this fits the bill :)
as far as the snow goes, we have been super lucky so far. I guess El Nino is keeping things warmer for the moment. I don't think I'd miss the snow to much myself....Austin does look like a hot spot these days, hear good things. I'd move to dfw area in a heart beat. I visited in 97 and really liked it.

$700 is a good deal

Why are you not going AOD?

I has purchased several Monsters and they are the best at a good price.

Hey bud, reason for staying c4 is due to simplicity. Already have everything set up for it. When I planned the build, I was trying for the least amount of fab work, header, driveshaft and clearance wise.
Besides it being a weekend toy n track truck, I've been in a few hotrods with c4's and they cruise just fine with only 3 speeds.
Those monster transmissions look sweet from what I read. I doubt the rebuild will be to that level since I'm not pushing high hp, but the dude said it'll hold up to what I have and not be a "slushbox"

Quick update. Trans is out and at the shop. Will have it before new years since he got some more work between calling and getting it there.
Good thing is upon inspecting stuff, everything looked good, no abnormal wear marks on flexplate, etc. Fluid looked good coming out, new red and no smell. Flexplate was tight, something I was possibly thinking came loose. Loosening the trans, two bolts were not that tight. I'm thinking it let the backing plate flex alil bit, enough to contact the flexplate causing the oscillating noise I heard. It wasn't alot but under load I heard it more prominently.

So, till I get it back, not much is happening. I plan to redo my shifter set up. The whole area where it mounts is not that solid and has flex to it. I plan on cutting all the carpet back and making a nice sturdy mount to secure my shfter to. I've read that, they, the b&m doesn't work well if there is play in its mounting. So, I'll tackle that while it's out. I'm getting new black carpet in the spring time so not to worried about hacking this old grey carpet up. With that said, I am possibly picking up a set of 2001 mustang bucket seats. Dark charcoal grey. They are decent shape with the passenger being mint, driver has a small tear ill probably get stitched up. I need to call my local seamstress up n see if she's able to do the stitch work. It's minimal do I hope she can, and not charge me tooo much haha. I'll get picks of said seats shortly. 100 bucks so I thought it'd be cool to go with my mostly stang converted ranger haha.

Pics of seats.

What u guys think? Worth the repair?
With my headliner and black carpet, figured it would all tie together cool.

1994 347/c4 build -project name pending

Nice start for some seats .look like they got some good cushion . Need to get them wrapped like I do on my Eddie Bauer expos . Trying to find already made exact fit seat covers in black . Going to covert my interior to black and greys with stock black and grey pieces and painted pieces if need be . Going to do my headliner in flannel print since you claimed the bandanna print lol . Since this is your thread and would stay a Secret since no one looks at either of ours threads lol, I'm going to paint it battleship Gray with satin black roof when we move in to our new house this coming year .

Any ideas in your head for body and suspension . I got a buzz going right now [emoji482] lol

Dude...I read this and lmao!!! Yeah me too!![emoji482] [emoji482] it IS Friday lol.

I feel like the black sheep over here lol. It's cool tho, nothing that exciting anyways..as far as the seats go, I think they would be cool as is , as long as I can get that fixed cheap enough. If not, maybe get a set of tight fit covers in black also..my dad loves the bench seat but I'm not about it as much as he is. I really would love some recaros, but I don't feel like dropping that kinda coin on just seats. Still have a rear and lots of other shit to do. Body n suspension...it's just guna get dropped 3/4 with new shocks n the Cobra wheels. I still need to wrap those up with some nitto 555s, Rs for the back.
Body will stay kinda as is for a while. I do want a cowl hood and new lights so that'll be on my list soon as I get it all running after the holidays. Also need my exhuast done. :/ should be done by spring tho. And still need to get my audio stuff!?? Haha.

Look at the neoprene seat covers in my build thread, they are great and have held up for years..

I've read good things about those style covers too. I need to see the cost, since I'm trying to keep it lower on this project. I tried to find your build thread and didn't see it. U got a link?

So I check the perfect fit skins, they are def a choice if I cant get the seat fixed cheap. That's a cool truck mang, thanks for posting the thread.

Merry Christmas to anyone checking in here[emoji319] [emoji319][emoji318]
