1993 Splash build

1993 Splash build

Ended up scoring these for $60.00. Still need to take the passenger side to the machine shop.

Well I scored a complete Chevy Dana 44 off craigslist today. BOTH knuckles are drilled/tapped and come with new High Steer arms. Got it for $150. There's easily $200 worth of parts on this axle. Comes with a L/S and 4.10's.

Here's some pics of the axle I'm picking up tomorrow for $150

Looks like u got a pretty good deal!! Cant wait to see your rig with a solid axle uder it!

Dude, I can't either! I'm going to keep it the same height. I'm at about 5.5 or 6 inches of lift. It will be all suspension lift though when I SAS it. I freakin hate my body lift.

I just finished going through your whole build thread. WOW quite impressive.
I see you're almost ready to SAS, not to be a vulture but I'd love to get that steering setup off ya if your're willing to send it north of the boarder (BC)?

What gears are you running right now?

Motopete, I believe there's already someone in line for them. Thanks for the compliments too bro! Oh, and I'm running 4.56s at the moment.

So I went and picked up the chevy axle today. It was in excellent shape! Both knuckles are flat top and drilled/tapped WITH Sky-manufacturing High steer arms. Both caliper brackets are in good shape, as well as the spindles and stub shafts. For $150, it was a steal and only 1/2 hour away from the house. Well worth the drive. I'm not sure what knuckle I have on the driver side though. It should have 36520 stamped into it and drilled/tapped from the factory. It doesnt but is drilled/tapped...I'll have to do some more research.

Hmm, too steep.

If you are going SA and had 3.73 or 4.10 I would have been a bit more interested in the TTB axle.

Well I have a bare pig/carrier as well. Setting up used gears is a bitch though.

I have a whole beam that I can re-gear. I'll probably just stick with the 28 for now. It's just the BII.

Are you planning on parting out your old TTB parts such as gears?

Yes, but this won't happen til sometime next year
