1991 Ranger Long Travel Woods / Prerunner Build

Not that super expensive, but if you're on a budget, go with the steel.

You should gusset that hitch up a little bit with some plate. Piece top and bottom will do. Keep it from bending from lateral forces (non-straight pulls).

The hitch goes through that whole 2x4x.120 tube and is welded on both sides... if that makes a difference from that your seeing....

It should do, now that I look at the bottom of the picture showing how it's 2x4. Threw me off that you didn't center the receiver in the tube.

I'd still throw something on it just being me.

Where do you live in Jersey?

I may throw some more on there when I do the rear skid plate...

I live in Newfoundland NJ. North jersey.

Oh... way out of the way.

Did you ever think of adding some lift lugs?

You mean tow points? Im guna add some to the front off the frame and im guna build a special receiver for the rear that gas a D ring on it for towing people of getting pulled out...

I like the leaf re archer. I was just talking to a buddy about doing that the other day

Build one up, its cheap and easy. You can have one for less than $200 including the harbor freight bender!

If I were to improve my design I would put on a bigger wheel, rails on the rollers so the leaf wont cock sideways on me and I would add ball bearings to the rollers. I was kiund of in a rush when making it like most tools you need in a pinch. (wanted to move onto working on truck) lol

I've gotta get going on this POS! I've been on vacation in Florida itching to get wrenching on it!
