Hi, im 17 and i just recently purchased a 1988 supercab stx ford ranger and as of right now the two jump seats are missing. I cant find any of the proper model for sale and i was wondering if either someone knew where to buy them or knew a different model of seat that would fit properly?

What color do you need? I don't have any, but I can keep an eye out at the yard.

Wouldn't a 1988 STX be a High Rider?

I just saw a set of tan ones last week when I was at the JY.

At this point the color is not the most important factor, if you can find some in red that would be amazing but if you can find a set of any color let me know.

I dont know actually. Like i said im new to rangers and i didnt know what a high rider was until just yesterday, but after some looking into it, it does have alot of the same features and it could very well be.

Just curious - do you have just holes in the sidewalls now or do you have the little cargo covers instead of the seats? Heard of that setup, seen it once.

If that's what you have, somebody out there might want to saw you a pair of jumpseats for the blankout covers - just saying...

PO probably tossed them in His garage and forgot about them.

It could be an '89 with an '88 production date. Not everybody knows about September being the change-over month. If it is produced in September, it goes to the next year's production run. So check that date to be sure.

The truck I saw the jumpseat blankouts on was a strange critter, in the junkyard.

Front sheetmetal was 89+ (Gen II, if you will). Dash and (extended) cab interior were Gen I (88 and back). Floor shifter (Gen I) for the A4LD. Bucket seats were halo(?) style, which I grabbed.

Had plans for some of the rest of the goodies but the truck had vanished when I went back...

So if anyone has found a pair of gen 1 jump seats please let me know via pm or something, thank you.

You can have mine, it's an 86 I just can't figure out how to get them out? I've got a sub box from my last truck and the seats need to go for it to fit.
