1987-1988 STX Rear Tube Bumper

I have owned this truck since 1992 (technically, I've owned it twice...but that's a story for another day), and it still has nearly every original part on it, or I still have them in boxes. So if I can be of any help to anyone else on other stuff associated with my truck, I'll be happy to help.

1987 Ranger STX XLT 4x4
Single cab, standard bed
Factory brush guard with lights, roll bar with lights, rear tube bumper (what's left of it), factory Sport stripe decal package
Bucket seats, with power lumbar and adjustable thigh support, adjustable side support, embroidered STX (rare??)
5 speed manual
2.9L
A/C
No tilt; no cruise
Crank windows

Getting a lot of "patina" on that original paint! ;)

Looks sharp, I have the same wheels on my '85.

I fixed your bumper pics, after you upload click the "full size button on the right hand side to post the full picture. I will let you edit your truck pic and play with it.

Thanks for fixing the orientation. I'm dangerous when it comes to computers.

I didn't fix your orientation, I think that is how it was scanned. I just made your uploaded pictures display full sized.

Thank you so much Shane B76. I will use your information and design what I can with CAD and hopefully reproduce one for myself.

Glad to help out.
If you end up fabing one, let us all know how it turns out.
I'm sure that you'll get a lot of requests from people who want to buy one from you.

I'll buy the rusted bumper from you when you are done with it. I want to cad up the mounting / plate brackets to waterjet and bend for diy weld kits. The tubing part is easy, fabbing the brackets nicely to fit is a bit more time consuming for non metal working folks.

I sort of already did this if you want the files, you just gotta cut me in on the profits if you use them & sell it ;)

This was for my stepside truck but it might work fairly well with a fleetside truck too. Not sure. My bumper bolts onto the factory mounts plus one additional bolt per side through an existing hole in the frame to stiffen it up - maybe not necessary but I used 1/4" wall pipe for my bumper so it weighs like 100lbs.........

That bumper is sweet, bang up job brother. I'd love the files if you're willing to share. No point reinventing the wheel !
