Hi there guys. I tried searching for an existing forum with this issue, but had no luck. So, here it goes... My Bronco 2 is clicking loudly in the front end mostly when I'm accelerating, not in 4wd, hubs unlocked.. It starts when in 1st gear and I can hear it through the first 3 gears. It only happens sometimes. I drive my truck for work deliveries, so its something I need to figure out before it gets worse. Any advice is greatly appreciated..

My best suggestion would be to get underneath of the vehicle and start seeing if anything is worn out.

we had a tractor that was doing that and after lots of looking we found out it had a small chunk of something stuck in one of the gears of the tranny. removed it flushed the system out good and new oil and no more clicking

Are you sure its your front end and not the CV style driveshaft?

When was the last time you cleaned and greased the wheel bearings? Maybe a bearing has gone out or the guts in a hub isn't fully disengaging?

Was the issue found with the clicking? My 90 b2 is making a similar noise.. Only under hard acceleration..
As soon as I find my grease gun I'm going under the truck, not sure what to look for....
It's a new truck so I have lots to look at.

Definitely sounds consistent with the dual-CV rear driveshaft failing.

My 90 b2 was doing same thing it was the lock out not fully disengauging
