I have an '87 ranger 4x4 XLT manual with cruise control. The horn and cruise buttons on the steering wheel don't work. I figured, the contacts on the slipring were bad, but I wanted to know for sure before I pulled the steering wheel off. I disconnected one of the horns and ran a wire to the battery to test it. it works, but when I ran a hot wire to the connector under the dash, I got nothing. My next course of action would be to check the horn relay, but I can't find the darned thing! I would think it would have one, and they have a horn relay for an 87 ranger on rock auto. Apparently the 88 and up have them in the power distribution/ fuse box, but in 87 they didn't even have that box. Does anyone know where the horn relay is located on an 87 ranger?
