I inherited my son's Ranger project since he went in the Army. It is a 1987 Ranger 4X4 longbed. I need help or advice on the front cross member. The previous owner had cut the cross member so he could drop the oil pan (I know this is a bad situation). He had the piece he cut out welded back in but it wasn't done properly. Do they make a new cross member I could bolt in? How do I go about fixing this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am totally new to the 4X4 scene but would like to trick this Ranger out since it was my son's.

You'll probably need to remove one from another frame, I'm not aware of anyone making frame parts (although if anyone has it, it would probably be LMC truck).

The member is both welded and riveted in. It's gonna take some work (probably have to pull the engine to be able to get at it).

I take it it's well beyond repair?
