I have a 1986 ford ranger short bed and I was wondering if you can swap a short bed with a long bed or are there different frame rails?

Well for one thing the bed support section of the frame is a lot longer, and the mounting holes are in different spots.
You would have a bed that hangs almost 2 feet past the end of the frame and probably two bolts holding it on.

Yeah I kinda figured. And now that I think of it the bumber mounts would be way ahead of the bed anyway.
