Hey guys, I have an '85 Dodge Lancer ES. It has a 2.2l Turbo and was in need of a new fuel pump. I replaced the pump and tank, zinc liner was gone and it had rusted hence fuel pump death, and on the top of the tank there is a rollover/pressure relief valve. Well this valve ran vapors to the charcoal canister and broke while taking the tank out, but is a discontinued part. I used the old one in the new tank thinking it was just an emissions thing. Well my problem now is that I am not getting the fuel rain pressurized. It is getting fuel to the rail and there are no leaks that I can see. If I put fuel in the cylinders the car will fire. If I crank it, then press the relief valve on the fuel rail it spits air then the gas comes up. But it does not stay pressurized as it should. Any one know these cars or if that pressure relief on the tank would affect fuel line pressurization???
Thanks for any input,
Woody.
