I have a set of 17x9 Bullitt wheels for my 91' Ranger. No problem with the back, but the front doesn't fit. I guess it's hitting the grease cap or something, but the inside diameter is just to small. Was wondering what my options are to make it work? Spacers? Grinding the opening? Modifying the grease cap/rotor? Thanks, A-

You can do 1 of 2 things..... You can either machine down the hubs on the rotors, which is not too hard to do, or you can have the wheel centers machined out....... The hubs are easier because you only have to do 2 things, where as if you want to rotate your tires front to back, you have to do all 4 wheels.......

I got some spacers (7/16) and they allowed me to mount te wheels, but it doesn't feel like there is enough of the lug threaded onto the bolt?

im having the same problem with these.lol. There's got to be a way to shorten something on the front to make it work.

Hey Mark, mine fit:

I had to machine down the last 3/8" or so of the hub to fit them... no the center cap wont fit, I reshaped the dust cap so it was squared off and flat, then painted it black.

Yea. I'd like to have something grinded down to fit without the spacers cuz now the tires are too far out to clear the fender with the drop. And I'd like to modify my dust cap so I can put the mustang center caps in. They look hella better with them than without. Lmk if you figure something out...

1st... grinded isnt a word.

2nd... Thats not going to happen with the stock spindle. About 1/4" of the spindle sticks out past the rim.

Im not teally sure what part of the rotor would be getting machined down... If I do that will the stock wheels no longer fit??

This may sound kinda scary, but I left the dust cap off, and adjusted the bearings to spec....... I left the little cage piece off, and marked the spindle for a new cotter pin hole to be drilled into it....... I drilled the hole into the spindle, then cut off what wasn't used after the cotter pin. My center cap fits now (with 15mm spacers on the front and extended length lug nuts)....... The part where the dust cap clips into, you can machine enough to fit. I've been using this set-up now for 2 years and it's still working just fine..... BTW, I'm using 17 x 8 Cobra R wheels with no problems at all......
