I am in Costa Rica and we have a transfer case number BW 13-54-000-050 and I have the exploded drawing for it, but the gear that is damaged is not to be found in the drawing. It is however found in the drawing of case #4407, and listed as "Shift Collar Hub" (#43).This vehicle was at least partially assembled in Brazil- would this have a unique mix of parts? Anybody had this issue with this shift collar hub on the 1354? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Post up a pic of what your talking about, I'm sure one of us has what your looking for...

I might be able to locate a whole T-case or parts here in PTY. If you want me to check PM me. I think we could stick it on the bus. Not sure if Ticabus still hauls small freight or not. We could always try sending it PanaFront to David then Tracopa the rest of the way. Where in CR are you located?

I spent some time looking at that diagram and I finally found out some things. That is the Rat's T Case. Therefor studying it was a worthwhile exercise . I think I see why 2 wheel and low are a positive shift and 4 wheel high and neutral are not. Also, why once 4 wheel high engages, it locks in and stays in. I discovered this working part 18 with visegrips. But I dint know why it was that way. Looks to be a nice little T Case. Has an oil pump, :D

To OP, look at part #9 in a 31 Ford's blow up. Not described right maybe, but that is a shift collar to me. 8 is the forks that shift it.

Hi All.

Andy, 48 to 57 all sit infront of 7 (outside the case, the flange on the face of 50 is what mounts to the transmission). 58-60 mount in front of 9 and onto 10.

9 makes the decision of 56 and 57 being engaged or not (low mode).

47 runs on 15 and 46 (4x4).

9 and 21 are what the forks sit in

I would say that 9 or 21 is what he is looking for (my guess).

Elgrandote, tell us in the picture I have, what part number you are looking for.

Getting closer to finding this gear?

This is the link to the photos pof the parts I need:

My transfer case says B in large letters and then it says under it BW1354-000-050.
The only piece i could find that ;looks like the one circled in the photo is in the drawing for 4407, or part 7100 shift collar hub.
Thanks to all for trying to solve this puzzle.
Panama expat, how do I contact you?

I got your PM... Give me a couple of days. I need to scare up Angel. He is a local parts chaser. If anyone can find one used it will be him. We may have to buy the whole T-case though. I'll try to get the numbers to him tomorrow or Friday. Have a bit of patience. I used to live in CR and know that things there go about like they do here. Best never to get in a great hurry or you will get nowhere.

Ranger transfer parts

Thanks for the help. I am very patient after living in CR for 28 years, but the Ford dealer (NASA) and lack of help or parts available has been testing this well earned sense of patience. And the cost of the parts they can get are astronomical
I appreciate your help on this
Thanks again

Hey guys .... Does anyone on here actually know the FORD part number for that shift collar? I could ask at the agency here if I had it, However knowing how they don't stock parts for anything........

I will try to look it up at work tomorrow. I would have today at lunch but I got to working on my truck at lunch and went right up to one on it.

If you get me the VIN I can be 100% sure I find the right number for the truck as it was originally built.

Ok, looked it up this morning. I belive the part number you want is e3tz-7100-D.

There are about 5 parts that share this base number, 3 of them in a manual trans, 2 in the transfer case. Looking at the pics I think this is the one you want.

2004 Ranger data

Thanks, I am going to see if I can get this part in the USA
I don't know if I already sent you this data but the transcase is a BW 1354 (under it it says 4L54-7A1 95-GA)

The VIN# is 8AFER13F64J351408

Thanks aain for taking the time to do this!
