1 ton, caged ranger

New shocks in, went from 41 1/4" to the fender lip at full droop to 42 1/2". I only drove my truck a couple of miles on smooth roads after putting them in but I hit the biggest bumps I could and already it is way smoother and has less rocking back and forth when I hit a bump because the shocks are actually long enough.
The shocks are skyjacker hydro 7000's, well worth the money IMO.

Also I finally got my switch panel from 12 volt guy. I am VERY pleased with it, very high quality parts and everything is labeled ect. My engraving got a little messed up though, they got some words mixed up but I am attributing that to me just adding a note of what I wanted and not drawing it out. IF YOU BUY A SWITCH PANEL FROM 12 VOLT GUY MAKE A DIAGRAM OF EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT SO IT COMES OUT RIGHT!

A little update, Werock is coming to town and I will there at the comp helping out and stuff. My friend I am building the jeep with just got hired on an off road company that is going to have a booth and stuff out there. Which means we HAVE to get it finished before july 7th. Many late nights await me.

After we finish his jeep we are going to do a little quick build on my truck to get it wheeling. Basically I am going to beef up the d35 and weld the spiders, find an 8.8 and weld the spiders, swap in my 63's build sliders and bumpers. And find some craigslist 33's or 35's and start choppin fender out.

Got some 5-760x u joints and full circle clips. I have another truck to drive until we sell it so I am tearing down the front end of my truck in the next couple of days to do a c-clip eliminator, swap in the joint and weld the front

Hahaha weld 'er up buddy. Don't run bigger than a 33 is my advice. With a 35" tire, you will EASILY blow shit up. My opinion is that a Dana 35 shouldn't see bigger than a 33 to stay reliable. The old front axle in Rangebe 2.0 was the 28/35 hybrid. So it had a Dana 28 center with 35 shafts....welded up the spiders and used 5-760x joints. I was running 31" swamper LTB's that measuered to 32", and beat on it HARD. You shouldn't have a problem. Just don't bounce off the rev limiter with the wheel turned all the way in one direction. These rigs become whole new animals with 4 wheels churnin' :D

Yea, the plan is 33's. 35's would hit the cage unless I have full widths and a pushed wheel base

I had one side completely torn down on the ranger today, and started pulling apart the other and I had to make a parts run. The truck I am driving blew a head gasket (99% sure) and I jacked up a brakeline in the ranger. So I put one side back together and the other side is getting put together tomorrow when the new brakeline gets here. So basically no mods were done to the ranger. But we are planning on busting out the jeep in the next two weeks, then I can have a second set of hands and we are going to bust out all of the mods on my ranger in a weekend. Hold out for some updates!

Here is a couple of pics from today:

And a buddy invited me to go Coyote hunting at night on a friends property. I have my gear all loaded because we haven't picked a day yet and I need to be ready at short notice.

I talked to the people at napa, they don't get spicer joints anymore but these cross directly over and have the same reference numbers as the 5-760x joints. Do you happen to have some dimensions on hand of yours so I can figure out if these are going to work?

They will work fine. I used to run them.

Keep those pictures coming, you're keeping me entertained at work!
