5.0 swap

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger. 2 wheel drive automatic transmission with a blown 4.0 the truck body is really beat up. But the rest of it is in good shape. I think it would make a good sleeper. Build I would like to put the 5.0 in it but not sure how to go about it looking for advice.

I have a 5.0 swapped ranger with a t5 and every time I floor it the engine cuts out and it sounds like a Jake brake. after it has cut out it is hard to restart with a jumpstart or just the key. any ideas? I just replaced the upstream 02 sensors and now I am at a loss.
