I got a 94 ranger 3.0 push button auto 4x4. I bought the truck as a project car and to learn 4x4 but it's proved to be aggravating. When I try and egage 4x4 both the 4hi and 4lo lights come on and I can hear clicking in the tcase and my front drive shaft truns when engaged and doesnt when the 4x4 isnt egaged which leads me to believe my tcase is fine. However I cant get power to my front wheels. I pulled the front part of the hub off and found the grease was somewhat clumpy on both sides and I see no visible damage to the spline on the nub nor the axle. Could there be too much grease? I've heard something about an actuator on the top of the front axle....could this be bad? Any and all help is greatly appreciated...i'm excited to get this thing into some mud ASAP!!!
