will either parallel or series wiring suck more power than each?

I dont even know why im bothering right now.
because its addicting muahahahahah lol

i understand were your coming from. they alll balance out. heance the equal sign.

and im really wondering his point. i dont like the fact he used made up numbers. then used them againt real numbers like they were legit.

any way...... but the point got lost in equations. sooooo

for the record. you dont divide by two he was corect. how ever when dealing with matched subs. and wiring schemes that you will most likely encounter in the car audio world. its a very nooby way to thiink about it.

By "design", I meant designing complex circuits.

My initial point was, him saying that parallel resistance is calculated by "dividing by two" was both incorrect and dangerous. I then posted two examples using a 4 ohm and 8 ohm load in parallel. Since we knew the Power and we knew the resistance, I used current to show the difference between the load properly calculated and "divide by two".

I guess by saying I didn't "complete" my equation is because I didn't punch the current numbers back in and recalculate the power for the incorrect configuration.

Had he said; if both loads are of the same resistance, then you divide by two, he would have been correct. He didn't say that so I still stand by that he was incorrect. But, this discussion will now save anyone who may have stumbled on it to realize there is more to it than "divide by two".
