New windshield was put in last Tuesday forgot to add that last week. The laminate was separating at the corners, I guess thats why it was leaking. Put a box on the bed also so I can relocate my battery and make a better cool air intake using the battery tray and some sheet metal.

Black? Looks more gunmetal to me.
I agree, but I'd have been lying if I'd said it was Hammered Gunmetal. The can clearly said "black". :ROFLMAO:

Greased the speedometer cable and gave it its annual oil change.

Speedometer isn’t bouncing all over the place and is actually useable now so I can take the GPS out for other things.

was testing some new rocker arms. had to improvise on the "testing springs"

those are sections of hi temp silicone foam from a roller in some of the copiers I used to service.

they might "bolt on" but there is an issue with a huge lash gap. I'll be needing longer pushrods if I keep the new rockers.

Where did you order that special degree wheel pointer from? I might need one of those.

I have one just like that I got from Acme Corporation. Wile E. Coyote turned me on to the place. All kinds of neat stuff!

Can I ask a dumb Question? (or 2)
@pjtoledo What are those orange spongy looking things, where the springs should be?

that dates back to my days in the Army. the possibility of a massive Electro Whatever Discharge had just been realized
(remember the tubes in a Soviet fighter?) so that has been forever influencing anything I do, maybe. :dntknw:
anyway, notice the subtle curly section of the pointer ??? well, it's not well known but those curls are there to neutralize hi frequency
emissions from suspected Evil Empire sources. No way do I want any static from the Russians influencing my project, I get enough of that from the wiffie!!!!

So there just there to take up space. Ok thanks. Sorry I missed that.
I work in a mail room and I see those rollers all the time, Just had to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing.

Started with the clay bar and wax. Got the roof over the weekend and the front end tonight. With my current job I get home about 5:45, by the time eat dinner and clean up it's 7:00. Late start this year but the weather has been crap until last week. Need to have it extra-special detailed for the Ford Nationals in a month. Plain ol' Turtle Wax for now because it's what I have on hand, not as smooth or shiny as Meguier's. I got it for the wife's minivan because it's white and I can't see Mother's or Meguier's on it but the green Turtle Wax I can see to buff it off. Meguier's plastic cleaner and plastic polish for the headlights and bugflector. Original headlights and after 12 years and almost 200,000 miles they look almost new. Will shoot for the doors tomorrow and the bed on Wednesday. Yes I've had beers and a cigar. /rambling

they are functional.
works just as good as low strength testing springs.
you can turn the cam by hand, chain removed, to examine rocker and valve functions.
