my bet is cuz the wax is gonna get hot and dry, so u wont be able to take it out, leaving marks in the paint, if it gets hot enough some chemical reaction may occur damaging the paint..i guess

Honestly not so bad as it is a royal pain to buff out. I have done it both in the shade and sun, in shade is way easier to buff out.

Let the paint cool completely and do it in the shade. Use cotton diapers or the insides of cotton sweat pants to remove the residue and you'll be amazed at the quality of the wax job you did.

like black'03levelII said it just makes it a pain to buff off. i think it also drys too fast in the sun which doesnt give it enough time to for it to adhere to the truck properly. i think you would be better off buffing it off with a good clean microfiber.

if you scroll down to the bottom you can see the two pictures of where they compared a paint after using microfiber an after cotton.

Yeah it can be a real pain in the sun. If the wax gets really dry when you're trying to remove it, you can actually put light surface scratches back into your paint. You can still do it though, if you work in very small sections. But as mentioned, shade and cool are your friend.
I don't particularly care for NuFinish, but that can be applied/removed in direct sunlight. I prefer to wax either early in the morning, or at night. Especially with a black truck, which is a magnet for heat, and very unforgiving as far as showing every little blemish and swirl mark....

I like the diaper idea...but I'd remove the baby first...in case it leaks on the wax...

Waxing in the sun simply dries out the wax faster and makes it harder to buff...as others have said...I rarely wax my vehicles any more though because it just reminds me of the Karate Kid...

Yup they're right the stuff just dries to fast and is way to tough to get off.

Although I've been using poorboys products for about 5 years now, the bottle says sun or shade and it's true. Stuff works great in any condition except when it gets cooler.

And definately ditch the diaper and get some good microfibres. They are safer for the paint and remove the residue way quicker.

Cheers!

Work hard and play harder
The wax goes on better and buffs up better if it's applied to a cool surface. When it's applied to a hot surface it can sometimes be very hard to buff off and may leave irregular looking stains.
