I know these come from a dana 35 full float rear kit on Jeeps, does anyone have more information on this set up for a jeep dana 35? I am thinking it might be worth replacing the 7.5 with the jeep 35 and gaining full floating for flat towing the rig around...

Thanks

why unless your running a locker all you got to do now is place the t-case in nuetral, dosent seem worth it to me

nvm your running a 2wd, from what i seen there are rv places that sell a quick disconnect for the driveshaft may be something to look into
example http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_catalog/towing/towing_products_by_remco.html

the dana 35 should be fine behind a 2.3 and are virtually free(most jeep quys upgrade to the ford 8.8)
but i believe the strength of the 7.5 vs 36 is the same if not 35 may be weaker

The Jeep rear D35 is significantly weaker than a 7.5" (both the housing, and the internals). Keep the 7.5 and get a driveshaft disconnect like Alaskan mentions.

dont mean to thread jack, but i just blew another hub today and was lookin at the warn 37780 and most that i have found are the top hat style just like an ordinary ranger hub, but i found one on amazon for $192 and it looks to be the d44 or 1/2ton style:icon_confused:..but it says it fits xj's and yj's which are the same pattern as rangers. so if you guys could look at it and let me know, that would be great. thanks. heres the url

Wrong picture (this seems to be common for some reason :icon_confused: )

pt# 37780 gets you two hubs that fit directly like the stock ones, just stronger.
