So a buddy of mine has a volvo 850R waggon that was rearended and written off. He bought it back and we have been kicking around the idea of doing a swap into my 2.3 ranger.
I realise that anything is possible with a large enough bank roll.
but here are my questions
for those of you that do a 5.0 swap how much clearance is left in the front of the bay? is it a showhorn tight fit or is there reasonable room? I'll use the efan set up so that should give me a little extra room.
I know a T5 trans will bolt up with an adaptor plate, and I plan to swap in an exp 8.8 disk rear end so a drive shaft out of a mustang should work on both ends as long as the length is correct right?
For the 2.3 turbo guys, how tight is the turbo fit? is there a better place to relocate the turbo to?
