Recently i fixed a vacuum leak from a hose that leads the valve cover...the truck when first starting up cold is creating so much vacuum that the truck almost shuts off. Could i have a leak in the intake gasket?? any suggestions would help

One way to find vacuum leaks is to spray ether (carb cleaner) onto suspected leak areas while the engine is at an idle, and if there is a leak the ether will get sucked in and the engine idle will increase.
