Well, he is doing better.... just can't raise up or turn his head yet. He can't talk still with the mouth banged up so badly. He can blink his eyes, can't move his arms or legs so well, but moving a bit more than last week. He shows no sign yet of any brain damage. The young lady was cited for reckless driving and under the influence (PCP). She is either 23 or 25…she has two drivers licenses? The cops are looking into her real good. The charges were pending (had to wait for the blood test) and then filed since she pulled out in front of him and another car that was driving beside my brother-in-law's GSXR. They both were doing the speed limit. The other driver smacked into a power pole after the bimbo from hell slammed into him. She kept going across the intersection causing more vehicles to swerve out of the way and then she stopped and walked back to the crash site. She was not changed with leaving the scene of an accident. I thought she had left and then come back until I heard the whole story last night at the hospital while calling them and talking for about 5 hours. Very stressful for his Family. If he does takes a turn for the worse I am going up there right away. He seems to be doing better I have been told but he is in intensive care still.

Thanks guys for your thoughts and concerns

Ok, got the call at 4:00 this morning.

My brother-in-law was moved from ICU at the hospital to ICU at a rehab center not too far from the hospital. He had jaw surgery before he was moved. His 3 broken ribs are mending. Internal bleeding has stopped for 5 days so he has pulled out ot that. He can speak a little but has to take out the tracheal tube to speak. He had been put into an induced coma and that helped him rest and heal that head bang. He was wearing a helmet and that did save his life. He has lost 35 lbs in the past 3 weeks. His spirits are good and he can smile a bit. He will require about a month of physical therapy before they can evaluate him and see when he can be released.

Thanks guys for your thoughts and concerns

I say you try for attempted murder or attempted manslaughter which ever it's called. Then worry about the money end. But get her convicted of a felony DUI at the VERY least!

It is a real bummer. He has been with Ford right at 30 years now. He has worked at 3 different assembly plants. He worked on the Rangers for about 12years putting them together. I know he has good benefits and retirement but to have to be 'forced' to retire this way is not what he had in mind. This is going to cost a bunch for health care for the rest of his life if he does no make a full recovery. You can only get so much out of the insurance companies. The bimbo from hell who hit him and ran a guy driving a car into a power pole only has the basic insurance needs. She does not have full coverage. They can only get so much out of her...she has no job and has a kid and lives at home with her mom and dad. She will be in court one day but it takes a while to see if there is justice (she is too pretty for jail).
