I dropped the tranny in the Ranger this weekend to do the "dreaded" slave cylinder replacement. Suprisingly, the whole process went pretty smooth. I did run into one problem though. The wiring harness that runs along the top of the my transmission connects to a large harness plug approximately in the vicinity of the firewall or where the bellhousing and motor join. I don't know where it mounts, because right now the entire plug is just laying on top of the bellhousing of the tranny. Everything works correctly, but I know that "large" plug can't just lay on top of the bellhousing to just flop around. Any suggestions on where it gets mounted on a 95 Ranger ext. cab 4X4 5-speed.
