Hi so I did an engine swap on a 2005 ford ranger 4.0 and every thing went smoothly. And now it will start but it will not move when i put it in gear and I have checked to see if the shift linkage moves and it does but nothing more happens? And so I was wondering if any one out there had the same kind of problem? And the new motor came out of a 2005 mercury mountaineer, and after some reference I found that it will work. but now i have this problem. So I really have no idea on what to do any more because I have checked the speed sensor and all the conections and still nothing. i was thinking maybe it needs to be flashed but i really have no idea and dont really want to spend the money on that until i know for certain.
