My 97’ ranger’s transmission mount crossmember bolts are stuck in place. The nuts came off, but the bolts are stuck in place. I’ve tried heating them up, beating them with a sledge hammer, and all sorts of other things. I just can’t get them free. Also tried cutting the bolt but I don’t want them to get stuck.

I have a new crossmember if I need to cut the old one up.

They won't turn with a socket and breaker bar with a piece of pipe on it? No impact gun?

Take that socket on a breaker bar and put all you can get on it. While you hold it there with all you can get hit it with a good size hammer

Tried with a Milwaukee impact, and it just doesn’t move

I’ll see if that works, but I don’t know if it’ll work

I don't know what kind of room you have in there, but with a bit of room and a solid blow to the socket it can coax one along
