This is weird. I pointed my camera at it and just got a bight light, but if you look below it, you can see dual eclipses. I don't know if it was a reflection or what. Just interesting the way it caught it.

This is the original photo, but it looses quality when I upload it. But you can see the 2 blue spots below the sun.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

My phone camera did that, also.

I’ll be about 30 miles south of you.
My daughter lives in mt blanchard and theyve blocked off their yard with caution tape, guess they think people are gonna park there. Ive seen marketplace ads where some are charging $20/car to park in their yards to watch. Ive thought about it but don’t really want anyone in my yard. Its very wet & would be a mess. Guess I could charge another $20 to pull them out 😆.
I do think the whole thing is overhyped.. Im eager for it to be over so the local news will shut up about it. Remember “Y2K”, its about that level of being rediculous. I have considered letting the chickens out @2:00 just to see if they go back in & roost. I do have cousins in wisconsin that are driving down for it.
we wound up in a field access driveway about 1 mile due south of the McDonalds in Carey, out in open country. had a great view of the horizon.
the red prominence at the bottom was a surprise, also it didn't get as dark as I expected.
traffic going was great, coming home was the heaviest I've ever seen on I 75.
even in Toledo it was still crazy congested at 5:30-6:00
took 3 hours to do what normally is 1 hour 10 minutes.

It was 34% coverage over here. I went out to view it on my lunch hour. I let my coworkers know about it. Several of them didn't know what an eclipse was. The rest weren't interested. Someone else wandered out and said he saw one in a video game.

At any rate, I had my eclipse-safe viewing equipment with me that I bought for the 2017 eclipse in Oregon and almost everyone else was wondering what the hell I was doing. As the matter of fact, they are always wondering what the hell I'm doing.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
We were about 95% here. My wife and I took my welding mask over to the neighbors and we passed it around. At max coverage the light was eerie- kind of yellowish. The temperature dropped noticeably, too.

It was packed everywhere. Even around noon with people going south. 223 was backed up from the 52 intersection clear back to the overpass to go over 34.

Taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T7 camera using a EF 75 - 300mm lens and a K & F Concepts ND 100000 solar filter. Did all the settings manually. F Stop 5.6 at 1/500, ISO 400. Used the Canon ap to remotely take pictures with my smart phone so I wouldn't bump the camera
