Hey Folks ; Don't post here much 'cause I usually don't have problems with my Ranger :) ! Long story short, my left axle (DS) is bent (right at the wheel (thanks step-son)) . It's on a 1990 Ranger. I have a 1989 Bronco II that I can use for parts. In reading the specs, my Ranger has a perch width of 56.5" while my BII has a width of 58" . My question is will the difference in width cause an Excessive bind ? Enough that this swap is not advised ? If so what would be the cheapest/easiest way to remedy my situation? All "Legit" advice is appreciated !! Thanks in Advance !! ...cougar... P.S. I'm wanting to swap the whole 9 yards to save a lot of work and expense as my rear end needs brake work as well :sad: ! P.S.S. Mods. move the thread if needed.

If you have access to a welder you could move the perches. This is probably the best idea.
Another option is to make a flat plate that will accept the centering pin of the springs and drill holes in the spring perches for the u-bolts.

The full thread on what I did, going the opposite of what you did. Ranger rear into b-II. post 10;

It is still working but I don't drive it much so have no long term review.
