- My credo
- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
The shade tree home mechanic needs to be and in many cases is evolving. It can be done. It just isn't as easy as it once was. There's a few new Rangers at work. I like parking my old ranger next to them. The owners seem happy with them. One friend has had his awhile now and I think only had one problem that warranty fixed. I forget what exactly, but do remember it was something simple yet complicated, and the truck was at the dealer for a few days. I think that's the biggest caveat with newer trucks/vehicles in general. Not much can be diagnosed/repaired by the shadetree home mechanic.
