Stuck shifter new to fourms please help

My 1990 ranger just replaced the clutch and didn't have a starter so had to roll it off it crank and went into gear fine next day rolled off and shifter got stuck and its stuck in 2nd gear

Jack the back wheels off the ground and see if it will come out of gear. I am assuming your new clutch still has some air in it and is not working as good as it should? It should come around once you start driving it.

Got it fixed I took the top of the shifter off and had to put it in neutral manually and now it seems to be working fine thanks
