Get the right gears and enjoy the lift and the ride.

2.9 with 33's I found to be painfully slow, but not undriveable. 5 spd won't be as bad as the auto since the 5 spd has a much lower first gear.

I went from the stock 3.73's to 4.56 gears and couldn't be happier.

33's with stock gears in mine wasn't that bad i have out run 2 different Z71's with 350's. Thats with a 4.0 and 5 speed though and i just recently put 4.56 gears in and thats a hell of a difference now the Z71's damn sure dont want none! :headbang:

You can forget about using 5th gear any more. Suggestion with the 33" tire install, a gear swap also (4.56 gearing).

Mine was a dog till I put the 4.56's in it. Just wish I had spent the money on a 35 insted of the weak 27.
